FAQ

What is the ECM?

The JCI European Capitals Meeting is an unofficial small international conference for members in capitals, focusing on learning, networking, cultural exchange, and fun.

How many participants will come?

The ECM conferences typically have around a hundred participants, and since we believe it is important to maintain this intimate atmosphere which is so good for networking, we have set the maximum participation to 100.

When will the program be ready?

The preliminary program is already up on our website. You can see it here!

What types of tickets will be available?

Because the purpose of the ECM is inspiration, network and international friendships between participants, we want to stay together as one group during the whole conference. Therefore only full conference tickets will be available, no 1-day tickets.

Can all participants get home hospitality?

We do not have capacity to offer all of you home hospitality. We offer a first come first serve to those who register early. So hurry up =)

Isn’t Copenhagen expensive?

Yes and no. Living in Copenhagen is expensive, and being a tourist costs also more than in e.g. Berlin, but less than in London or Paris. However, in the ECM team we are focused on affordable prices, and the conference fee will be the same as for previous ECMs.

Is Copenhagen safe?

Copenhagen is considered one of the safest capitals in the world, where you can walk on the streets at any time of the day or night. Even the most common tourist crime in big cities, pickpocketing, is rare.

Why come to Copenhagen?

Copenhagen is a beautiful seaside city with more than a thousand years of history. It is known for its friendly atmosphere, historical sites, modern design, and fabulous food. It was in 2012 and 2013 voted the world’s most livable city, and in 2014 Europe’s greenest capital, and it is a hidden gem you cannot miss out on visiting!
